Affiliate Disclosure
How we earn money, and the promise we make about our recommendations.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The short version
Apartment Air Fix is reader-supported. When you click certain links on this site and then buy something, we may earn a commission. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or not. The commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not your pocket.
Which programmes we participate in
- Amazon Associates — the majority of product links on this site.
- Appliance parts retailers — for replacement parts and filters.
- Home improvement retailers — for tools and larger appliances.
Our promise
- We recommend a product because we believe it is the right choice, not because of its commission rate.
- We tell you when a cheaper option is the better buy.
- We say who a product is not for.
- We never accept payment in exchange for a positive review.
- We disclose affiliate relationships clearly, on the page where they appear, before the links.
How to identify an affiliate link
Affiliate links on this site are marked with a disclosure notice at the top of the article and in the site footer. Amazon links contain a tracking tag in the URL. If you would prefer not to use an affiliate link, you can search for the product directly on the merchant’s site — our recommendation stands either way.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We aim to make every material connection between us and a merchant obvious, conspicuous and placed before the link it relates to.
